Hoots & Hellmouth have gone through some changes recently. Founding member Andrew Gray left the group, they added Mike Reilly as a drummer and the group left their label in 2010. “Our recording sessions allowed us the time to focus, and the freedom to explore and come up with exactly what each song needed. We’ve been performing several of these songs live for a while now, and had a pretty good read on what needed to happen in the studio by the time we finally got there. Everything else just fell into place naturally,” says songwriter/lead singer Sean Hoots.
Hoots & Hellmouth’s single “Apple Like A Wrecking Ball” has a classic folk-pop sound with its mixture or acoustic and electric guitars. Their third full-length album and first self-produced album Salt will be released October 4th, but you can listen to the single below.
