Video Premiere: Mason Jennings - "No Relief"

As the release date for Mason Jennings’ latest album Minnesota approaches, we’re rolling out another video from the album. The video accompanying “No Relief” takes a rather literal interpretation of the song and shows us scenes of people in moments that are out of their control. The video, which is a selected clip of the full song, was directed by Tim Wilkerson (who is half of the sketch comedy group MagicHugs) and Jay Carey, a motion graphics designer/editor. The two collaborated from the very initial pre-production planning for the video right through post production and final color grading. “When I first heard the song, the chorus felt strong and it lead us to lean towards capturing imagery that would pair with the somber tone of the song," Carey said.
