English rockers The Hours have released a slew of EPs since their inception back in 2004 as well as two full length albums in their native UK. The band released their first US album last year with songs from the two UK albums on it and has been touring every since.
Many of their earlier songs are very reminiscent of U2 songs with a dance-like vibe, but sounding more like a political anthem. With “I Wanna Be Happy” The Hours turn to a more pop-rock sound and singer Antony Glenn no longer sounds like he’s aiming to duplicate Bono’s voice.
“I Wanna Be Happy” is consistently cheery throughout with a foot tapping melody that will make you want to jump out of you seats and sing along. Check out the track below.
