“Land of the Hopes and Dreams”, the newest single from Boston rockers Mean Creek, is described as the band’s “collective statement on how they viewing living in America.” Spinning some of the traditional mottos of America and turning them on their head, Mean Creek’s rhetoric is reminiscent of some of the imagery on Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible.

The single is the band’s followup to their 2011 EP, Hemophiliac, and it now has its own music video that acts as a companion to the song’s strong message. The video, which features the foursome playing musical chairs around a contemplative frontman Chris Keene in what looks like a makeshift living room.
