Video Premiere: Bahamas Records Barchords

Afie Jurvanen, who is more commonly known as Bahamas, has been hard at work lately on his upcoming album, Barchords. The album was recorded at the same wood-decorated house where Jurvanen recorded his previous albums, which includes the Juno-nominated Pink Strat.

“This is the place I’ve done all of my recording,” Jurvanen said about the house. “It’s just a beautiful place.”

And now you can take a look at Jurvanen’s recording process at that home. The video below shows the songwriter doing a very live tracking the song “Lost in the Light” in a living room, which features Jurvanen tracking vocals and guitar next to two singers and a drummer.

“We kind of did everything in one day,” Jurvanen said about tracking the album. “We didn’t really listen back to what we were doing, because it just didn’t seem like there was time, because everyone had to go home. We did most things in two or three days.”
