Song Premiere: Races - "Lies"
Los Angeles-based RACES, led by Wade Ryff, was formed by a group of friends with the goal of creating fleshed out songs that provided a dramatic and poignant overture instead of “just a sappy guy on an acoustic guitar.”
This past summer the sextet signed to Frenchkiss Records, announcing that their debut LP would be released sometime in the spring. Now that spring is quickly approaching, the band as announced a March 27 release date for Year of the Witch.
“Lies” the fourth track on the album, is a moving song that highlights Ryff’s vocals and infectious harmonies alongside Devon Lee and Breanna Wood. He croons, “Living in a lie was the best I could do” during poppy ballad about a relationship.
