Southern electronic afro-pop quartet Reptar have created quite a buzz these past months leading up to the release of their debut album Body Faucet, produced by Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Givers). The band’s unwieldy instruments and electronic manipulations are a powerful combination. Match that with their high-energy performances and distinctive enthusiastic style and you get the vibrancy of Reptar. The still-in-college-newbies have so far exceeded the hype surrounding their 2012 tour. When it comes to Reptar, we just want more.
