Video Premiere: PAPA - "I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass"
Los Angeles group PAPA recorded a faithful cover of Nick Lowe’s hit “I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass” from 1978 album Jesus of Cool with a little help from their fellow Angelinos at Little Videos. The black-and-white video shows PAPA jamming in a house in Silver Lake, and the band’s cover version retains the staccato guitar strumming and keyboard flourishes as Lowe’s original. Plus, Darren Weiss does a great job pulling double-duty as singer and percussionist.
