Album Stream: Rhett Miller - The Dreamer
Rhett Miller has been playing music for 23 years—both as a solo artist and as the frontman of the Old 97’s—and still looks as young as he did in 1989 when his first solo album, Mythologies, was released. Just like his boyish charm, Miller’s passion for recording has endured over the years. The Old 97’s have released three full-length albums since 2008, and this week, Miller will releases his fifth solo album, The Dreamer, on Maximum Sunshine Records.
Miller is best known for his work with the alt-country pioneers Old 97’s. Since their 1994 debut Hitchhike to Rhome, the band has epitomized the genre, developing a reputation for their energetic live performances filled with Miller’s swaying hips and infectious presence.
His work with the Old 97’s hasn’t hindered his solo career, however, one that’s been nearly universally praised. Stream The Dreamer in its entirety below.
Miller will also be touring in June in support of his new release. Check out his full schedule below.
