Song Premiere: Glen Hansard - "This Gift"

Irish singer/songwriter Glen Hansard released his debut solo album, Rhythm and Repose, on June 15. Though this marks his first solo release, Hansard has been recording music since he founded The Frames in 1990. Since 2006, he has made up one half of The Swell Season.

Hansard had his fair share of time on the big screen. He starred as Alan Parker in the 1991 film The Commitments , and recorded songs for several films since. In 2007, he won an Oscar for “Falling Slowly,” a song he and his girlfriend (and former Swell Season counterpart) Markéta Irglová wrote for the film Once.
