Video Premiere: Jesca Hoop - "Hospital (Win Your Love)"
Starting off as Tom Waits’s nanny, Jesca Hoop is no wide-eyed starlet. With six full-length albums under her belt, the California native has toured with the Punch Brothers, The Eels and even sang back-up for Peter Gabriel. But in her new video for “Hospital (Win Your Love),” she sheds her years and personifies the inner child her song conveys, decorated with painted-on freckles, sprinkle lipstick and mutli-colored striped socks.
Hoop dances as an overgrown child, hospital patient and a fantastical, black-eyed queen while singing about winning over her parents, her sister and a man with an ill-fated hospital trip, because, you know, “there’s nothing like a broken arm to win your love.”
The track is the second single released from her latest album, The House That Jack Built, which Hoop plans to tour behind later this summer. Check out the dates for it below, and watch our premiere of Hoop’s “Hospital (Win Your Love).”
