Song Premiere: The Giving Tree Band - "Dead Heroes"

In anticipation of the Oct. 2 release of Vacilador from Illinois folkers The Giving Tree Band, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of their song “Dead Heroes.”

The song joins 13 others on the upcoming release, the band’s fourth studio album, which also includes a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Brown Eyed Women.”

Brothers Todd (banjo) and “E” (guitar) Fink started the band in 2004, and were later joined by Phil “Sky” (violin), Norm (mandolin), Woody (slide), Z (drums) and Charlie Karls (bass) to round out their Americana sound.
