Song Premiere: Jonny Fritz - "Ain't It Your Birthday"

Jonny Fritz is fresh off the heels of a landmark year. In 2012, the artist (known to many as Jonny Corndawg) shared the stage with everyone from the Alabama Shakes to Deer Tick and Dawes.

Now, Fritz’s career has hit another milestone in his decision to sign with ATO Records. Sealing the deal in gravy (with a quill pen, to boot!), Fritz is set to release his ATO debut Dad Country on April 16.

Dad Country, produced by Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, is Fritz’s answer to the outlaw country genre and and features songs that Fritz allowed to evolve over several months.

“The things that get me to want to write a song are the things that I find funny, and the things I find funny are the things that offend people or are swept away or go unnoticed or unsaid," Fritz said. "They carry so much more weight because they’ve never been touched on.”
