Fans of Dead Confederate or Diamond Rugs might recognize musician T. Hardy Morris, but his debut solo album Audition Tapes isn’t likely to sound so familiar.
After nearly a decade of non-stop collaboration within the musical mecca of Athens, Ga. and with artists all over the industry, Morris has still managed to create a record that sounds distinctly new.
Audition Tapes was recorded at Playground Sound Studios with the help of producers Adam Landry and Justin Collins. Morris also had a variety of friends stop by the studio to contribute to the tracks, ranging from Matt Vasquez (Delta Spirit) to Ian Saint Pe (The Black Lips) and more.
Listen to the first track from the album, “OK Corral,” and look out for more content from Morris in anticipation of Audition Tapes’ July 30 release via Dangerbird Records.
