Longtime friends Andrew Nelson and Blount Floyd have been making music together for the entirety of their friendship. They’ve seen the rise and fall of two bands and watched several bandmates come and go, but writing and performing music together has kept the pair’s friendship alive amidst the many changes in lineup.
Now, as Great Peacock, it seems the duo has really hit their stride. Performing harmony-driven folk rock tunes reminiscent of Ryan Adams, the band has been influenced by classic country artists as well as their contemporaries in the indie-folk scene.
Check out the video for their track “Family Home” in the player below. You can catch Great Peacock live in Atlanta on April 9 at the 1873 Society Club & Atlanta Humane Society Ales for Tails event at Sweetwater Brewery.
