Video Premiere: Whispertown - "State of Mind"

April 5, 2013  |  11:00am

Whispertown, a band that has toured with the likes of Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes and She & Him, is still garnering attention from the successful release of 2012’s Parallel. The album was released via Gillian Welch and David Rawling’s label, Acony Records, and the band has just released a video for the album’s track “State of Mind.”

“I wrote the tune ‘State Of Mind’ about the general state of affairs this day and age, and our collective yearning for change. A fundamental shift of intention and conscience,” said vocalist Morgan Nagler.

The video was pieced together from public domain footage by Nagler’s brother, and the message revolves around a need for peace.
