San Francisco, Calif. band The Family Crest began with friends Liam McCormick and John Steerlin in 2009, but over the years the band has evolved into a six-piece that thrives on live performances, adjusting their set-up to fit in anywhere from a house show to a rock club to a street corner.
The band is set to release five new songs on July 30 with The Headwinds EP, but that’s just a small taste of what’s to come from this dynamic team of musicians. The Family Crest is gearing up to release a full length in 2014 via Portland, Ore. record label Tender Loving Empire. The full length, Beneath The Brine, is set for a January release and will follow an excited 2013 for the band, who is set to take residence in Los Angeles in August for a marathon schedule of 31 shows in 31 days.
