Video Premiere: Golden Animals - "You Don't Hear Me Now"

June 26, 2013  |  1:45pm

Psychedelic duo Golden Animals, which consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Tommy Eisner with Linda Beecroft on drums and backing vocals, is a Brooklyn-based project with roots in the California desert. This background shines through as soon as you hear their music, which is rich yet minimalistic.

Their forthcoming LP Hear Eye Go was recorded without the use of a bass or organ, and instead just utilizes drums and six strings. The album was recorded with the help of Matt Boyton, known for this work with MGMT and Kurt Vile.

Golden Animals is set to release Hear Eye Go on Sept. 10 via The Reverberation Appreciation Society. Watch the video for one track, “You Don’t Hear Me Now,” in the player below.
