Bombadil began at Duke University in 2005 and for a few years, despite several changes in the lineup, the band was steadily touring and putting out solid material. That all changed in 2009 when Daniel Michalak (bass, piano, harmonica) suffered a nerve injury that affected the use of his hands.
After a long and arduous recovery, Michalak is able to tour again and the band will be on the road for the rest of the summer and into the fall (check those dates here). More good news for the band and fans alike: Bombadil’s fourth full-length album, Metrics of Affection, is set for release on July 23.
