Song Premiere: Brianna Lea Pruett - "It's All Right"
Brianna Lea Pruett’s sweet vocals and vivid lyrics are continuing to garner more attention in anticipation of the forthcoming release of her debut album, Gypsy Bells, next month. First, we had a taste of debut single “No Diamond Ring,” and now the California-based folk artist has given us another listen to what’s to come with “It’s All Right.”
“’It’s All Right’ is about the freedom to be responsible,” says Pruett. “The best day of your life comes when you realize your life is up to you. You stop blaming the President, your parents, or anything else for your life circumstances. That freedom is inside each of us and we can always be free, in our minds.”
Pruett draws inspiration not only from folk music legends and old vinyl records, but also from her Native American heritage.
“We can write our own life story, we get to choose ourselves, our integrity, our responses, our passions, our vices. It’s definitely a freedom song,” says Pruett. “Dream this life with me. What’s the best thing we can dream together? Who are you in the dream? That’s what this song is about. Dream something you like.”
Gypsy Bells is set for release on Oct. 1 via Canyon Records. Stream “It’s All Right” in the player below.
