Song Premiere: Roman Candle - "Not Strangers Anymore"

Roman Candle, the Chapel Hill, N.C. band that most recently brought us 2009’s Oh Tall Tree In The Ear, began the creative process for their next album in early 2011, fresh off an extensive year of touring. The band went their separate ways for a bit, touring with other projects and spending time with family, but all the while working on new ideas for lyrics and sounds. The guys finally reunited in the fall to record a few tunes at Nashville’s Big Light Studios.

The result is forthcoming album Debris, an 11-song collection that the band describes on their PledgeMusic page as the soundtrack of their lives these past three years.

“We had a birth, a marriage, a stack of live shows, started an interview series (drinks with), recorded a live record (coming soon), and spent some remarkable days / nights in the studio figuring out how each of these songs would work its way into the record,” they write.

Listen to a track from the record, “Not Strangers Anymore,” in the player below and view an album trailer and the full tracklist at the bottom of the post. Debris is set for release on Oct. 29 via Big Light Records.
