Singer-songwriter Caroline Rose penned her debut album America Religious after a road trip across the country. The themes in the album reflect that journey, as each track seems to tackle a new topic and make even the most familiar themes feel fresh. America Religious was co-produced with Rose’s longtime friend Jer Coons and recorded in Burlington, Vt. at Coons’ studio. “I wrote and arranged all the songs, while Jer did all the engineering and nearly all the mixing. Five years ago, filmmaker Jared Varava traveled the country with beloved Washington, D.C. rock band These United States. Varava followed the band, then just a trio, on their first-ever US tour, documenting their epic 33/33/33 concept. The band played 33 shows in 33 cities as a part of 33 different lineups, and in celebration of the five year anniversary of the tour Varava has prepared the full-length documentary A Picture Of The Three Of Us for release. Kindlewood is a Washington, D.C. folk trio that blends rock and acoustic elements, and it consists of husband-and-wife pair Kelci and Galen Smith along with friend and guitarist Jamison Lyman.
