Kindlewood is a Washington, D.C. folk trio that blends rock and acoustic elements, and it consists of husband-and-wife pair Kelci and Galen Smith along with friend and guitarist Jamison Lyman. Their cohesive sound reflects the groups’s strong relationship outside of music, and with several sold-out shows in the DC area behind them, it seems like listeners are taking notice. Treetop Flyers, the British band that made news when they signed to Partisan Records, also recently announced the release of their debut album The Mountain Moves. The five-piece band recorded The Mountain Moves in California, and the album was produced by Noah Georgeson (Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom). The resulting sound is distinctly laid-back. Leagues was one band we knew would deliver a great performance.
