Video Premiere: Ron Sexsmith - "Nowhere to Go"
Musician and acclaimed songwriter Ron Sexsmith is set to release Forever Endeavour, his latest full-length, on Feb. 5 via Cooking Vinyl. The album will feature 12 original tracks and was produced by Mitchell Froom. This will be his first release since last year’s Long Player, Late Bloomer. The first track from the album, “Nowhere to Go,” takes a lighthearted approach to the down-and-out feeling of being stuck in a rut. Chicago band Empires has come a long way since they first released debut album Howl for free download on their website. After several stand-out performances and their most recent release, Garage Hymns, Empires seems to have honed in on their own unique sound and voice. Saint Motel, the Los Angeles rock foursome, have released a feel-good video for “Benny Goodman,” a track from their debut full-length Voyeur. The video features a charming performance from 7-year-old Miles “Baby Boogaloo” Brown while a group of stuffy-looking adults chat over dinner and cocktails. Lead singer A/J Jackson directed the video, and fans might recognize another familiar face in Derrick Tuggle, who rose to viral-video fame in The Black Keys “Lonely Boy” video.
