Live from Newport Folk: Robert Ellis
For the second year in a row, Paste teamed up with our friends at Sennheiser for intimate recording sessions at Newport Folk Festival. The latest installment of the series from the Paste Ruins features Houston singer-songwriter Robert Ellis. His sound, which takes a fresh approach to acoustic guitars and classic banjo music, has garnered attention since he self-released The Great Re Arranger in 2009. Ellis joined us to perform “Comin’ Home” from his 2011 release Photographs. You can catch this charming rendition in the player below.... read more
Video Premiere: Moon Taxi - "Let's Go Back"
Tennessee five-piece Moon Taxi has a sound that caught Paste’s attention for their dreamy blend of minimalist rock. Winning over crowds at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza with their live energy, Moon Taxi has also been praised for merging indie rock and jam-band sounds on their most recent release Cabaret. In keeping with their sound, Moon Taxi has released a series of self-produced and decidedly low-fi music videos featuring standout tracks “Mercury” and “Cabaret.” In the final installment of these music videos, you can check out the exclusive video premiere for “Let’s Go Back” below.... read more
