Frank Turner "The Road" video (Awesome of the Day)

In the last three years, hardcore frontman-turned-folk-punk singer Frank Tuner has logged some 700 shows in his native U.K. and is currently touring the U.S. So it's fitting that his video for "The Road" captures Turner playing 24 shows in 24 hours.

I talked to Turner just before his latest trip began: "At the moment I'm bidding farewell to my friends and family and loved ones to remember what they look like," he said, "and then I'm going to be heading out on the road. To be honest I can't wait, because I get kind of itchy feet when I stay in one place too long. Well, I get bored when I stay in one place. But also, I very much view myself as a working musician, you know what I mean? It's like, playing is what I do. If I'm not playing a show, then I'm not being a musician.

"The Road" is his first single off one of my favorite albums of the year, Poetry of the Deed, which came out on punk label Epitaph Records earlier this week. Here's the video, directed by Adam Powell:
