Pylon "Beep" Video and Free mp3 (Awesome of the Day)

It’s time for some old-school Awesome today with Athens, Ga’s Pylon digging up and sharing the original video for the song “Beep” off 1983’s Chomp, an album I’m pretty sure I still have on cassette, melting in my attic.

“It captures pretty much what we were about at that point in time,” says frontwoman Vanessa Briscoe Hay. “We were a playful, irreverent bunch of artists who also happened to be musicians.”

The video shows tour footage of the band in the early ‘80s, but very little of Hay’s onstage craziness as one of the most compelling frontwomen I’ve ever seen.
