Jeff Mills Releases Vinyl/CD Hybrid

Techno DJ/producer Jeff Mills’ new album, The Occurence, is not available on iTunes. It’s not meant to be downloaded digitally, or purchased as a single CD or vinyl pressing.

It’s actually an unprecedented combination of physical media, featuring a CD on one side and a 5" vinyl pressing on the other. Mills calls the album “a hybrid project of science fiction and techno music” on his MySpace, adding, “it displays the innovations of our time and space, an era of change with minds that intensely stare forward to the future.”
