Gogol Bordello's Tiny Desk Concert
National Public Radio’s Tiny Desk Concerts bring an array of musical artists into the NPR offices for some memorable live performances. Back in June, resident gypsy punks Gogol Bordello gave the people over at NPR one they surely won’t forget anytime soon.
Eugene Hutz and co. provided the offices with five tunes, some old, some new, but all rowdy and riotous in a style the gypsy outfit does so well.
The multi-ethnic group worked to get the somewhat reserved crowd into it (some of the libations Gogol Bordello were enjoying may have helped!), and ultimately succeeded when Hutz clambered atop desks and scared away an NPR staff member for “Pala Tute.” How we missed this gem of chaotic wonderment until now is beyond us, so forgive our belatedness in presenting you with Gogol Bordello’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert, which you can watch here.
