Astounding visual artist Ryan McGinley presents the precious pop bands Girls and Smith Westerns in his quickie flickie Friends Forever.

McGinley recorded both bands’ performances at July’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago (Smith Westerns’ home turf) and kept the camera rolling throughout the fest weekend, he told Nowness.
