Angela Rossi, the Los Angeles-based artist behind BeatUpCreations, found a way to get Patti Smith, Bride of Frankenstein and Spock to show at your next dinner party.

She creates “Altered Antique Plates,” often showing portraits of various popular icons. Her M.O.? “Using recycled, abused, tossed aside, broken and forgotten items and turning them into fabulous new creations,” according to her Etsy page.
