Leave it to Google to make web searching fun.
The super search engine is honoring the late Les Paul with a hands-on logo.
Paul, who would be 96 today, is the inventor of the solid-body electric guitar — the guitar often credited for the rock and roll sound.
So, to honor the late guitar father, Google transformed their logo into a recordable instrument. Users can take their mouse and scroll over the strings to strum them. You can also activate the keyboard by pressing the keys from left to right to play a scale.
And in case anyone wants to share their Google-guitar skills with a friend, your web magic can be recorded and shared as well.
“If you’re curious, the doodle was made with a combination of JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas (used in modern browsers to draw the guitar strings), CSS, Flash (for sound) and tools like the Google Font API, goo.gl and App Engine,” Google said.
