Pixar’s trilogy of stories that managed to make us care about a ragtag group of toys has changed the animation world forever. In many ways, the independent filmmaker Tom Jenkins has taken the idea behind what toys do when we turn off the lights even further.
Using stop motion and Google Street View, Jenkins single-handedly created “Address is Approximate,” a touching short film that serves as a quiet reflection on location and technology. Check it out below:
