Google's Newest Product Could Be Smart Glasses

As technology evolves in our culture, the world looks more and more like the futures predicted in films like Minority Report and Blade Runner. Technology is always at our fingertips, and with programs like FourSquare, Instagram and video chatting, the world has become a playground for us to look at everything in a different way. While people constantly wonder what slight differences might make the iPhone 5 worth owning, Project Glass is working on technology that would allow you to use social media, phone and camera technology through glasses.

Project Glass, which was created by Google, is a project that says “technology should work for you—to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.” Their new promotional video expresses just that, as they show exactly what their final product ideally would be.

The glasses would show you current temperatures, allow the user to send text messages, give live navigational help, give reminders, take pictures, play music and voice chat. All of this is utilized through voice integration.

Watch the video, posted by Google today, below and check out Project Glass on Google+. After that, just hope that Project Glass can make these glasses happen, since we think they’re pretty cool.
