Tim Heidecker Spoofs Bob Dylan with "Titanic"

Tim Heidecker, one part of the absurd comedy duo Tim and Eric, has released his own emotional, epic song “Titanic.” The song was inspired by Bob Dylan’s track about the sunken ship, which is supposed to be on his upcoming record Tempest, due out Sept. 11. Heidecker’s 15-minute track promises to give Dylan’s 14-minute song a lot to live up to. Who knew Heidecker did such a spot-on Bob Dylan impression?

After hearing the news about Dylan’s track, Heidecker said on his website, “I wrote this song to see if I could beat the Master to it. I can’t wait to see how close I got to the real thing!” On the site, he adds: “P.S. There’s a nice surprise towards the end. Listen when you have the time to dedicate to this important piece of music!”

Listen to this haunting song and watch the accompanying video for “Titanic” below.
