Watch a Video Re-Imagining Pacman as a Horror Film Monster

In the latest best of what the Internet has to offer, the beloved arcade icon Pac-Man has been re-imagined as a horror film villain. Unlike previous parodies of otherwise innocent characters (e.g. Mrs. Doubtfire, Mary Poppins), this video shows new, live-action footage, as well as a pretty impressive Hans Zimmer-inspired soundtrack and a thrashing metal Pac-Man theme. Throw in a CGI-rendered depiction of the round, yellow monster and you have a pretty convincing trailer.

The general premise consists of two frightened victims in orange jumpsuits, complete with an accompanying ghost patch, running through a maze in a warehouse constructed with boxes and shelving. However, something stalks them with an almost Predator-like efficiency, and these guys ain’t no Arnold Schwarzenegger.

With so many video games being picked up by film studios last week, such as Assassin’s Creed, God of War and Dues Ex: Human Revolution, why not Pac-Man?
