Adult Swim's Greatest Event in Television History

“Are you ready to witness the most exciting Event in Television History?” Last night Adult Swim indulged audiences with a 10-minute special that featured Jon Hamm, Paul Rudd and Adam Scott taking on the ambitious project of recreating the opening credits from the ‘80s detective show Simon and Simon.

Jeff Probst hosted a special behind-the-scenes look at the trials and tribulations that happened during the production of the project that lead to the big reveal. Rudd’s attention to detail made him the perfect director for the project (even if he was $9 million over budget and eventually quit). In the end this is a beautifully crafted shot-for-shot replica of the original credits.

Be sure to check out The Greatest Event in Television (which was actually written by Paul Scheer and directed by Lance Bangs and Scott) below. Also below is the original opening scene from Simon and Simon to compare the two.
