Ohio State Marching Band’s Videogame-Inspired Halftime Show

Football loyalties aside, it simply cannot be denied that the marching band from the Ohio State University in Columbus is one of the best in the country. In case you still need convincing, check out their performance from this past Saturday’s game for confirmation.

Brilliantly nostalgic and expertly executed, the self-proclaimed “best damn band in the land” took audiences on a trip down memory lane, performing themes from various video games near and dear to our hearts.

Spanning just over nine minutes, the performance captures Space Invaders, Pokemon, Mario, Pac-Man and Tetris. However, it is the band’s reference to Zelda that takes the cake (6:00).
