Mexico City Attempts to Break Record for Largest Zombie Walk

Looks like the zombie apocalypse has already hit Mexico City, Mexico. Last weekend, the hills of Mexico City were flooded with nearly 10,000 people, all in zombie attire, attempting to break the world record for largest organized zombie walk.

Every year, Mexico City organizes a zombie walk and this year they meant business. Vulture reported that when the Guinness Book of World Records verifies the final number of zombies that participated in the walk, Mexico City will hold the new record for the largest organized zombie walk (yes, it’s a real thing). Right now the record belongs to the 2010 New Jersey zombie walk, which had 4,093 zombies participate.

Check out a video of the zombies that plagued Mexico City and some gruesome photographs.
