Samuel L. Jackson Faces Off With Anne Hathaway In "Sad Off"

Brace yourself, it’s a “sad off.” In their recent Funny or Die video Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway went head-to-head in a “sad off,” in which they debated whose Christmas release will be more depressing.

Both star in equally heartbreaking roles, Jackson as a house slave in the slavery drama Django Unchained and Hathaway as a tortured woman forced into prostitution in Les Misérables. The two go back and forth arguing which plot is more depressing and whose character suffers the most.

Don’t let the Christmas setting fool you, this is anything but a jolly argument. Be sure to check out Jackson vs. Hathaway in their “Sad Off” below.
