Much like the characters in his films, Quentin Tarantino is someone who is quick to act when provoked.
When Krishnan Guru-Murthy from Britain’s Channel 4 News asked the Django Unchained director about the relationship between film violence and real-life violence in a video interview, their discussion quickly heated up.
“Don’t ask me a question like that,” Tarantino bristled. “I’m not biting. I refuse your question.”
When Guru-Murthy asked why, Tarantino responded, “because I’m not your slave and you’re not my master. You can’t make me dance to your tune. I’m not a monkey.”
Despite Tarantino’s objections, Guru-Murthy continued to press Tarantino for his views, but the clearly irate filmmaker would have none of it.
“I have explained this many times in the last 20 years,” he responded. “I just refuse to repeat myself over and over again because you want me to for your show and your ratings.”
