Acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino recently visited The Graham Norton Show to discuss his most recent directorial effort, Django Unchained, and gave a little insight into a memorable scene from his critically acclaimed Pulp Fiction.
It turns out the renowned director had a very specific vision in mind when it came to the dancing styles of Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman).
“I wanted Vincent and Mia to have two different characters when they twist,” Tarantino said. “When Vince twists, I wanted him to be kinda rigid. But when Mia twists the image that I had in my mind was the Zsa Zsa Gabor cat from The Aristocats.” Nearly twenty years later and he can still mimic those dances perfectly.
