Rock Posters Re-Imagined Using Swiss Modernism

Graphic designer Mike Joyce’s Swiss take on vintage rock posters create quite the visual anomaly (no hand-drawn type or skull illustrations here). Based on actual band’s tour flyers, his posters are stripped of all the grunge and replaced with the minimalistic Swiss style. No, they are not set in Helvetica; That’s Akzidenz-Grotesk medium, rather.

You can check out his ongoing project here, and pre-order the book, which is out March 5. Judging by the fights that broke out in the office over who got which posters, we’d say it’s pretty cool.
