No, it’s not some crazed Gallagher-copycat smashing items from the produce section like they’re bongos.

A 31-year-old Brooklyn-based musician named Jonathan Dagan (or j.viewz) has taken everyday fruits and vegetables and turned them into realistic-sounding instruments, according to Mashable. When hooked up to his “Makey Makey invention kit” and a synthesizer, grapes sound like bells, carrots are high-hats and eggplants sound just like bass drums when he taps them.

In the video, Dagan’s one-man veggie band takes on Massive Attack’s “Teardrop.”

Since publishing the video on YouTube last week, Dagan’s veggie “Teardrop” cover has received over 200,000 views.
