Watch Footage of The National Playing "Sorrow" for Six Hours Straight
“Sorrow” just moved into the National’s “deep cuts” section of their setlist. As previously reported, the band was set to play a full six hours of the less-than-chipper High Violet cut “Sorrow” for an exhibit at New York’s MoMA PS1 yesterday.
According to a posting by MoMA PS1, the project’s aim was to explore “the potential of repetitive performance to produce sculptural presence within sound.”
And, it happened. There’s video evidence to prove it. There was enough “Sorrow” for everyone! Check out some of the clips scattered across YouTube below.
