Riding her new wave of Arrested Development hype, Maria Bamford has just introduced a new web-series to her YouTube Channel in which she seeks advice for user-submitted questions from her 70-year old mother.
Whether you’re 14 or 40, mother always seems to know best. But naturally the life of a 70-year-old is extraordinarily busy, with all of the knitting, reading and gameshows that fill up the day—so Bamford plays the role of her elderly Christian mother.
The weekly series made its debut this week with the first two episodes, aiding us all in how to deal with hopeless sad sacks and a lackluster sex life. The role of Marilyn Bamford feels as hilariously invasive and overbearing as it does lovable and endearing, playing off of Bamford’s cartoonish, over-the-top demeanor.
