Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake Teach "The Evolution of End Zone Dancing"
We’ve already seen the “Evolution of Dad Dancing” and the “Evolution of Mom Dancing” (featuring Michelle Obama). Now, with the NFL season finally underway, Jimmy Fallon has set out to chronicle the colorful history of the touchdown dance, with a little help from Justin Timberlake.
After the music starts and JT joins Fallon on stage, they begin by tackling some classic real-life end zone dances like the “Ickey Shuffle” and the “Dirty Bird,” but the historical accuracy of the tutorial quickly falls into question.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think a football player has ever tried to pull off the “Earthquake Waiter,” the “Old-Timey Railroad Car” or the “Manti Te’o on a Date.” I guess the season just started last weekend, though, so there’s still time for the NFL’s TD scorers to step up their celebration game. Bonus points to the first pair of teammates to pull off the difficult transition from the “Football Spin” into the the “Love Scene from Ghost.”
