If you’re a bit of a MySpace geek (not that there’s anything wrong with that), then there’s a good chance you’ve seen (or at least read about, in brief, blurb-y form) this clip. However, if you’ve not had the pleasure, I do sincerely recommend you check it out. “I’m here with the lead singer of the Spin Doctors, Fiona Apple,” the hirsute gentleman says toward the beginning of the conversation, and the uninitiated are instantly intrigued by one of today’s most unorthodox and hilarious comedic talents, Zach Galifianakis. This is a fun one all the way through, if only for watching how giggly Apple is for the duration. Of course, it can’t be easy to keep up with Galifianakis in a situation like this. These two have collaborated before as well, and that clip is definitely worth a watch too. There are also heaps and piles of Galifianakis vids on YouTube if you feel like wasting an entire afternoon.

Recently, I had the privilege of catching him at Atlanta venue The Roxy, where he performed a fantastic set to a decidedly less-than-packed crowd. Come on, people. There is great comedy out there; you just have to go see it. There is plenty of his material scattered throughout this post, but for extra credit you can watch the bearded funny man doing and saying other things at the homepage for the sadly-defunct show, Comedians of Comedy. Enjoy, and may the laughs be with you on this Thursday evening.
