Leannderthal is a blog that makes me wish my name was Leann so I could name my own blog Leannderthal. This is all assuming that, as a Leann, and not as a Rachael, I would think of calling my blog Leannderthal before this particular Leann thought to call hers the same. And this is shaping up to involve more than a little uber-hypothetical time travel, which is a bit too much to ask of a Friday afternoon, so let's just drop it.

At any rate, this blog is home to Leann Meixner, a Michigan-based artist who does fiber work and paints beautiful, whimsical watercolors. I love this tomato and, among her November entries, all of these silly animals. Thus far, she has NaBloPoMo'ed without much complaint, which I admire (it's more than I can say for myself).

Also, Leann has a spirit guide named Lert, most certainly making her the first NaBloPoMo participant I've come across to claim one. Does a spirit guide make the difference between a good blog and a bad blog? I don't think so. But here, at least, it doesn't seem to hurt.
