PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMoMo 2008, Day 29: W, X, Y and Z bring it on home

I just polished off another in a long series of plates of Thanksgiving leftovers, including a slice of the chocolate stout cake I made that I wish would just disappear already so I can stop being tempted by its ungodly delicousness. (All credit to Smitten Kitchen.) It doesn't look like I'll be seeing the end of turkey and dressing for quite some time, but one thing is finally coming to a close: National Blog Posting Month.

Nearly every day this month, as part of a little project I gave the perhaps ill-advised name PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMoMo, I've taken a look at one or a few other NaBloPoMo participants to see how they were getting through posting one blog entry per day for thirty days (or not, more often than not). It's been fun, if not a little trying at times, keeping tabs on all these strangers and their sometimes exciting, sometimes not-so-exciting lives. I've been running down the alphabeticized official NaBloPoMo November blogroll, so far hitting letters A through V.

Today, the second-to-last day of PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMoMo, I'm gonna play quick and dirty with W, X, Y and Z. (Tomorrow, I'm bringing you a special look at the Paste staff's favorite holiday movies over at List of the Day.) After that, fittingly enough, I'm gonna go play Scrabble with my mom. And maybe eat some more of that cake.

W is for Winegrrl, who logged the best-worst post-Thanksgiving debriefing I read all day. She fought some etouffee, it seems, and the etouffee won-- but she blogged right on through it. Champion!

X is for XUP and XY x 2, NaBloPoMo's only two "X"-blogs-- neither of which seem to have made the 30-day goal. Maybe if they'd had some company?

Y is for Yambiguity, which I thought might feature a nice stash of Thanksgiving feat photos, but no such luck. However, they did post a photo of an unusual sink. So there's that.

Z is for Zoot Alors! which I have been waiting to blog about since PaMaDoCoBloNaBloPoMoMo Day 1, when first I spotted it on the blogroll, just because I liked the name. Looks like author Jessica stumbled around mid-month, but picked up where she fell off with a look into her book journal. I feel like all I've read this month was on a little rectangular screen of some sort, so letting my eyes wander over some pages sounds pretty nice right about now.

But first, cake! (Hey, I just blogged at least once daily for twenty-nine days straight. I think I can have another piece or three.)
